Procrastination through Proclamation

Hehe…

Dude, I don’t know why, but for every midterms/finals season of every semester for the last year, I always wanna procrastinate and just journal for a bit about how I’m doing and more importantly, what the Spirit is doing in my life.

I started this post as I was coming out of Easter weekend last month, but paused due to HELLA busyness. I will say, that I was on FIRE (and He’s on fire within me), but I’ve definitely been more prone to tiredness ever since. Since January, my word for this year has been “adjust”, and boy, am I adjusting. From being able to work full-time at my church, to saying no to friend-time, and truly embracing sabbath this season.

All this to say that there’s SO MANY praise reports from this past Easter weekend, especially a sermon point by a person I perceive to be so educated and insightful in the grey zone between pop culture and our faith, Pastor Ty Tamasaka.

“Easter is not about our passionate pursuit of God, but it’s about God’s passionate pursuit of us.”

Through a number of p o w e r f u l prayer sessions, the Spirit descended on me like a Dove, but once I received Him, He couldn’t be caged up, like a lion waiting to bust out of his cage. From my various talks with a number of mentors and pastors, I once again have remembered how grateful I should be for the breathe of life, the fellow sons and daughters I serve with, and the countless workings He’ll continue to do in my life. So stay safe, be blessed, and see ya soon, fam ✌️

p.s. I just turned in my last essay and project SO LET’S GOOOO✊🔥
